The courses are 6 weeks long, and run back-to-back about 4 times a year.
Why a proctored online course?
It’s pretty simple, really. FrameMaker has a well-deserved reputation for being a robust content creation and delivery tool. I still run live FrameMaker classes when asked. But the amount of content I want to deliver to my students often goes beyond the time allotted to a training session. Plus, there is little time for projects and experimentation before the end of the class.
Not everyone wants to know every part of FrameMaker, but a live class can also limited by the overall interests of the class members, and the number of hours we have together.
With a proctored online course, I’m able to deliver deeper material (if that’s what you want) to a larger audience, and at a lower price point for students.
Proctored online course, explained
An online course gives you access to study material on your own schedule, and lets you work through exercises at your own pace. We then reinforce the content with live online “office hours” as well as weekly reviews of concepts and assignments.
Because the class is not 100% live, there’s room for me to produce bonus content, that then gets folded into the course, improving the content for each subsequent run of the course.
All the office hours and weekly review sessions are recorded, in case you want to review, or in case you’re unable to attend a session.
