NEW FEATURE: FrameMaker (2017 Release) Command Search
See how easy it is to find functions and shortcuts in FrameMaker 2017 with the new Command Search function. This is one in a series of ten new feature videos I created for Adobe to help promote the 2017 release of FrameMaker.

One side effect of an application as powerful as FrameMaker is the existence of hundreds of menu command shortcuts.
As a result, at times, even experienced users might find it difficult to recall a shortcut key sequence, or even to locate an infrequently used command within the menus themselves.
In earlier versions, only a fraction of the available shortcut key sequences were listed in the menus, and if you didn’t know where the menu was located, then it was off to the user documentation or the application help to search for the answer.
In the 2017 release of Adobe FrameMaker, we’ve created the powerful Command Search feature
Now, along with the shortcut keys shown within the menus themselves, you can quickly locate and launch commands without removing yourself from the flow of your content creation.
Just type in part of the command name, and choose from the matching commands available in FrameMaker.
The command will display with its associated shortcut, and you can execute the command right from the Command Search itself.
